Sound Design:

How I See Sound:

I approach all creative jobs in theater from my central and original perspective as an actor.

I’ve had the opportunity to sound design six full theatrical productions ranging from Shakespeare to Branden Jacobs-Jenkins in spaces as diverse as apartment living rooms to large outdoor spaces.

I design by making sound choices that elevate the actor’s performance, galvanize the director’s vision, and deepen the playwright’s intentions. In other words…

I focus on the storytelling.

At my best as a designer, I collaborate by bringing my presence to the rehearsal room and design meetings, making bold choices that are fun for the actors to respond to, and staying adaptive to the needs of the production from the first rehearsal to the very end.

Let’s get together and talk about what your next project sounds like!
